If you love your Weber Kettle barbecue but are planning a bigger party than the Kettle will easily cope with, why not expand its capacity with the new Hovergrill? The Smokenator Individual Hovergrill can be used with either the 22.5” Weber Kettle BBQ or the 26.75” Weber Kettle; however, it is not compatible with the 18.5” Weber Kettle.
When the Hovergrill is combined with the 22.5” Weber Kettle you will gain an extra 247 square inches of space on which to cook, making a grand total of 550 square inches over the two grills. If you find this difficult to visualise, just imagine being able to cook seven chicken halves at once or more than 15lb of ribs.
Whatever you decide to grill on your new Hovergrill, the space will be really useful. Chicken, fish, steaks and chops can all be added to the menu and you will soon become used to judging the cooking time for the various items on the higher and lower grilling racks. Fruit and vegetables, sweets and marshmallows can also be accommodated on the Hovergrill.

The new Hovergrill, which was reintroduced in autumn 2013, has a diameter of 17.75 inches and stands 3.5 inches above the original grilling rack. It can be used to increase the capacity of your Weber Kettle when needed and can simply be collapsed for storage if you just need the original cooking area for smaller gatherings.
This is a very affordable way of gaining extra space for cooking outdoors when it is needed and the product is easy to use. You may prefer to use the separate grills for different types of food so that the flavours do not become combined, or use the Hovergrill for vegetable kebabs so that they will not be contaminated by the meat juices if you are planning to serve them to vegetarians.
