Clay ovens have been used for centuries as they are an efficient method of cooking food to perfection. The Mediterrani Royal Outdoor Wood Fired Pizza Oven is made to a traditional design and features the distinctive domed shape you would expect. Layers of insulating clay inside the oven allow heat to reach sufficient temperatures for high heat cooking. The layers of insulation prevents the outer surface from becoming excessively hot and allowing heat to escape. This type of oven is especially known for its heat retention properties so slow cooking over several hours is no problem.
In keeping with the traditional style of this oven the entrance tunnel is decorated with an attractive brick design. The heavy duty cast iron twin doors not only look stylish but help keep heat locked inside the oven. A temperature gauge on the outside will allow you to see the internal temperature of the oven whilst the adjustable choke on the chimney allows you to control the heat output.
The Mediterrani Royal Outdoor Wood Fired Pizza Oven is perfect for the speedy preparation of authentic tasting pizzas but it can also be used in a number of other ways. The generous internal space is approximately 80cm x 80cm, so there is plenty of room for several casseroles or roasting dishes. The oven is also supplied with a spit support, allowing you to spit roast chicken or even suckling pig. You will need a compatible oven spit which we can provide. This oven is also compatible with the Tuscan Grill, simply insert the grill into the oven and cook delicious barbecue style food. If you have lots of hungry guests to feed, this outdoor oven is a stylish and practical way to entertain.
The oven weighs approximately 500kg. Due to the weight you will need to consider how you will move the oven once it is delivered to you.
