Kebabs are supposed to be easy to cook but all too often they stick to your dirty old barbecue grill or fall apart as you turn them ? or even before you start cooking them.
The kebab rack is the simplest device. It is fitted with six kebab skewers and enables even cooking without anything sticking to the barbecue grill. The high-quality stainless steel rack lifts the kebabs slightly over the barbecue grill, with notches to hold the skewers securely in place and prevent them slipping and spinning. This means you can turn them regularly for even cooking. Traditionally kebabs are laid directly on the barbecue grill, which is a pretty dirty and messy method compared with sitting them neatly in a rack and later sticking the rack and skewers in the dishwasher!
The kebab rack comes with six skewers included, which are 17 inches long by three-eighths of an inch wide and feature a looped handle at the top for easy handling and storage. The skewers have a useful flat, wide blade with a sharp pointed end that can pierce even tougher meats easily and safely. The flat blade holds even softer vegetables such as mushrooms and tomatoes in place without them collapsing or slipping around the skewer and cooks everything evenly. The blades can be used to cook meat, fish, vegetable and fruit kebabs, and are also suitable for holding minced meat neatly for Middle Eastern-style kofta kebabs. The result is foolproof barbecuing and plenty of compliments to the chef!
Both the rack and the skewers are dishwasher safe.
To use the system, place the rack on the barbecue before you light it. Thread your chosen kebab ingredients onto the skewers and slot the skewers into the notches on the rack. As cooking progress, use the handle at the top of the skewers to turn them around. The elevated position on the rack ensures the kebabs will cook evenly and gently without the problem of sticking to dirty grills or burnt patches.
