The Princess Vacuum Sealer is an extremely high-quality luxury vacuum sealer, which is ideal for use both by keen amateur chefs and professionals in a busy kitchen. When shopping around for a vacuum sealer, it’s really important to opt for a high-quality, high-spec machine to ensure many years of efficient service.
One of the main benefits of vacuum-sealing your food products is the fact that it will significantly extend the usability of dairy, fish, meat and vegetables. In fact, food that has been vacuum-sealed will last up to five times longer than food which is left unsealed. In addition to this, vacuum-sealing is a great way to keep your food stocks neat and organised. Re-sealing items such as frozen carrots, sweetcorn or peas means that there is no chance of them spilling and then becoming spoiled in the freezer. Frozen meat will be totally protected from freezer burn, so next time you feel like a juicy steak for supper, you can be confident it will be in great condition and ready to defrost. Vacuum-sealing fresh fish is beneficial in two ways: firstly, it will stay beautifully fresh for an extended period of time; and secondly, your fridge or freezer will not be tainted by any associated odour, as can often occur with unsealed fish. It’s also a great way to reseal dry food items such as biscuits, crackers, cereals or crisps that have been opened but not finished. You can vacuum-seal them, and the contents will remain perfectly fresh until you next fancy a snack. If anyone in the family suffers from an allergy, vacuum-sealing can be a great way of ensuring that ‘safe’ food items do not become contaminated in the cupboard, fridge or freezer.
The unit comes with ten top-quality 22cm x 30cm vacuum bags. These can be used in the freezer, the microwave and in boiling water, so they are great to use across a range of food preparation methods, storage and cooking platforms. Cooking ‘sous-vide’ is a cooking method that is increasing in popularity all the time, both with professional cooks and keen home cooks. Using a vacuum sealer makes food planning so much easier and more convenient for the home cook, as they can batch-cook, vacuum-seal and then freeze dishes, which can then be defrosted and cooked sous-vide or microwaved at a later date.
The Princess Vacuum Sealer unit is simple to use and is also very efficient. The sturdy vacuum pump has a capacity of nine litres per minute with a powerful pressure rating of 85kpa. To use it, simply slip one of the supplied vacuum bags into the vacuum sealer and shut it. Then, using both of your thumbs simultaneously, press down firmly on both sides of the appliance. Press until the vacuum bag has completely sealed, and that’s it!
