To make it even easier to use the GrillPro, recommended temperatures for different meats are shown clearly on the face of the dial. These include the ideal temperatures that should be reached by chicken and poultry, lamb, veal, pork, and ham. There are also guidelines for rare, medium and well-done beef. The temperature readings range from 60°C to 87°C or 140°F to 190°F.

If you like your beef rare but not too rare, you can measure the exact temperature to ensure it is cooked to perfection. The dial of the GrillPro BBQ Meat Thermometer is surrounded by a silicone ring, or bezel, which makes it easy to remove from hot cooked foods because you do not have to come into contact with the hot, high-quality stainless steel from which the thermometer is made. The red silicone bezel is removable, and the whole thermometer is remarkably easy to clean. The thermometer should not be immersed in water. Many people find that the best way to clean it is with an antibacterial wipe.
